Per our telephone com�ersations last week, the Owner's <br /> Contractor will install the on-site water main im��rovements as shown on the plans up to <br /> the connections to the existing 8-inch water main. The City of Everett Water Department <br /> will then connect these improvementa to the existing water main. As requested, the <br /> following is a summary of the improvements along with identification of who wi:i be <br /> responsible to complete the work: <br /> • The Contractor shall relocate each of the on-site fire hydrant assemblies as ahown , <br /> on the project plans. The Contractor ahall expose the existing maiu at the proposed <br /> connection for the City staff, ar.d install the 6" DI service line £rom the hpdraat <br /> assembly to the point of connection. Materials necessary for the connections <br /> (tapping tees, gaCe valves, and reducer) shall be provided by the Contractor for <br /> installation by the City stafE Also, the Contractor shall close the existing 6" gate <br /> valve at the existing hydrant southeast of the proposed maintenance building, ' <br /> remove the existing hydrant assembly and pipe to the valve, and inetall the blind � <br /> flange/plug with concrete blocicing. � <br /> • The Contractor shall install the 9" fire service and appurtennncea to the point of <br /> connection at the 8-inch mnin. 'Phis work shall include all trenching and <br /> installation of piping, valves, and check assemblies (interior or exterior) as shown <br /> on the plans to the point of connection at the existing S-inch water main. The City <br /> shall connect the fire service to the 8-incli water main and install a bypass meter <br /> and the requirecl readout witL telemetry sit the double check assembly. The <br /> Contractor shall provide the 8"s�l" tapping ter and 9-inch gate valve for installation <br /> Uy City staff. � <br /> • The Contractor shall install the 2" domestic water service line as shown on the <br /> plans to the point of connection at the existing water main. The Contrector shall <br /> providc the meter bos nnci meter set ior the domestic service.
