Per our telephone conver;atione last week, the Owner's Contractor will inetall the on-siie water main improvemente ae shown on the plane up to the connectione to the exieting 8-inch wnter main. The City of�verett Water Department will then connect theee unprovements to che existing water main. As requested, the following is a aummary of the improvements along with identification of who will be reaponeible to complete the work: • The Contractor ehall relocate each of the on-site fire liydrant aseemhliea as ehown on the project plans. The Contractor ehall expose the existing main at the proposed connection for the Cit}staff, and install the 6" DI service line from the hydrant assembly to the point of connection. Materials neceseary for the cannections (tapping teee, gate valvea, and reducc:) ehull be provided by the (`,ontractor for inetallation by the City staf£ Also, the Contractor ahall r,iose tUe exieting 6" gate valva at the exiating hp�ant southeaet of the propoaed maintenance building, remove the exiating hyd.^ant assembly and pipe to the valve, and install the blind flnnge/plug with concrete blocking. • The Contractor shall inatall the 4" fire service and appurtenances to the point of connection at the 8-inch main. Ttue work ahall include all trenching and inatallation of piping, valvea, and check assemblies (interior or exterior) ae sho�vn on the plune to the point of connection at the exieting 8-inch water main. The City shall wnneat the fire service to the S-inch water main and install a bypaes meter and the required re��dout with telemetry at the double check assembly. 'I'he Contrnctor shall provide the S"x4" iapping tee and 4-inch gate valve for inatallation by City ataff. • The Contractor ahall install the `L" domeatic water service line as shown on the plans Co the point of connection nt the exieting water main. The Contractor shall provide the meter box and meter see for the domestic service.
