Underground piping mus[ be hydrostatically tested and flushed as <br /> esG�blished in NFPS Standard 24 for private fire mains. All such tests must be <br /> witnessed by a Fire Departmen[ ;nspector. Fire Alarm S;stem An approved au[omatic fire detection system shall be pr��vided as <br /> rPquired by City Ordinance No. 1902-92, Chapter 16.76 of the Evere[t Municipal <br /> Co�e. <br /> Ylans for sach system must be submitted to the Fire Marshal for review and approval <br /> prior to insrallation. Submittal shall indude cut sheets of all equipment intended for <br /> use. Appropriate trip tests, wimessed by a Fire Department inspector, shall be <br /> performed, along with a certificate of completion, prior to final acceptance of the <br /> svstem. <br /> Fire alarm systems shall be installed according to NFPA Standard 72, <br /> Fire alarm systems shall be insta!!ed under permit of the City of Everett $uilding <br /> Department. Elr.ctrical inspec[ions and approval are required prior to calling for <br /> acceptance tests. Call 257-8810 for permit information. <br /> 36. Commercial CookingSpentions A ventilating hood and duct system with an approved <br /> automa[ic fire-extinguishing system shall be provided in accordance with the <br /> Mechanical Code for commercial-typc food heat-processing equipment that produces <br /> grease-laden vapors. <br /> 37. Demolition of buildings shall be in compliance with the provisions of Uniform Pire <br /> Code, Section 8706 "Piresafety during Demoli[ion" (copy attached). <br /> � - <br /> 38. The City of Everett prohibits outdoor burning. Therefore, outdoor burning for the <br /> purpose of disposing of consWction debris or rubbish will no[ be permitted. <br /> 39. Fire S3fetv Fire safety practices during construction must be in compliance with the <br /> Uniform Fir? Code, 1985 Edition, Article 87, "Fire Safety During Construction." <br /> 4i;. The Washin�ton State Clean Air Act requires the use of all known, available, and <br /> reasonable means of controlling air pollution, including dust. Dust generated during <br /> construction activities can be controlled by wettir�g [hose dust sources such as areas of "„ <br /> exposed soils, washing truck wheels before they leave the site, and installing and <br /> maintaining gravel construction entrances. Consiruction vehicle treck-out is also a <br /> major dust source. Any evidence of track-out can trigger viofations and fnes from .he <br /> Department of Ecology or the Puget Sound Air Pollution Control Agency. <br />
