Permit Counter <br /> Re: Excavation of Fill Dirt from Backyard <br /> Dear Larry: <br /> As you know, we suffered a landslide on Becember 31, 1996 in our <br /> backyard. In an effort to stabilize the slope, we have hired two engineers to <br /> study the problem. Mr. Mark T. Otten, P.E., an engineering consultant, has <br /> studied the first engineer's report and has recommended that we excavate <br /> 300 to 400 cy of fill dirt from our backyard in order to create a retaining wall <br /> (rockery in this case) that will be enduring. Per our discussion, I am <br /> enclosing a copy of the engineers soil analysis as I hope that you might have <br /> a place that we might deposit the excavated soil.
