Sherin a comanitment for a Class H license to do business as the Alley Inn on May 27, 1970. F1r. Sherin has not completed the alterations at the new location nor opened his restaurant ror business. He has now requested the Doard's approval to transfer the Llass H commitment given for � the Alley Inn to his existing Scene 13 tavern operation located in the same building. 41hat this would amount to, if approved, would be the surrendering of the Classes BCEf tavern license and issuin� a Class H liquor license for a restaurant operation. �daturally, if approved the business would have to be predominately a restaurant (full meal service) operation and not a tavern. He has submitted plans to convert the premises into a restaurant. As you know, minors are prohibi[ed from entering tavern premises. If this proposal is approved, minors would be prohibited from the cocktail lounge area only but allowed to enter the restaurant. Before a conclusion is reached on this request, [he officiai views as to whether the city approves of Che location and the applicant for this cliange irom a tavern opera;ion to a Class H restaurant business is requested.
