BUILDING INSP�CTOR'S ORDER <br /> T0 : ELI SMITH <br /> 636 California Way <br /> Zongview:y , Washington <br /> RE: Premises in the City of Everett , Gounty of Snohomish , Stafe <br /> of Washington , commonly referred to as 1501 Hewitt Avenue , <br /> ott�erwise known as the Mohawk Building. <br /> You are tiere:by notified that the undersigned Building Inspector of <br /> the City of Everett has inspected the exterior of the building <br /> referred to above on the 23rd day of November, 1965 . The following <br /> conditions were observed to exist with said building , to-wit : <br /> l . The east wall of said building has seriously <br /> deterioratled starting at the top of said wall <br /> and running a distance of several feet from the <br /> top thereof . This deterioration has resulted <br /> in the bricks from the top of saii wall be- <br /> coming free from mort. -, and in their loose <br /> condition , said bricks fall from the top of , <br /> the east wa : 1 ; <br /> 2 . The windows on the second and third floors of <br /> said building o� the south side o• Hewitt Avenue <br /> side thereof , have dropped a considerable dis- <br /> tanr,e from tliei r window frames and are therefore <br /> loose and in danger of falling from the respec- <br /> tive window frames. <br /> You are further notified that the conditions herein described pro- <br /> vide a serious danger to the public health and safety in that said <br /> conditions create an unreasonable risk of harm to surrounding pro- <br /> perty and pedestrian traffic on the public sidewalk. <br /> You are further notified that the conditions herein describ,-. 1 must <br /> be abated, and you are directed to secure the loose bricks in the <br /> east wall to prevent said bricks from falling , and you are further <br /> directed to replace ar repair the windows on the south side of <br /> said buil�iing at the second a�d third floor levels in a safe <br /> condition . <br />
