Aero Pacific currently operates a metal platinq, anodizinq and <br /> � coversion coatinq facility. <br /> s � <br /> C' ' � 2. The company currently operates under an industrial Waste <br /> Discharqe Permit and has been subject to enforcement ectfons <br /> � reqnrdinq sewer discharqe violations, etc. The purpose of the <br /> ' � proposal is to obtain approvals for n pretreatment system. <br /> Facility projects proposad include upgrades in the rinse schemes, <br /> � a nuw pretreatment aystem, and new operatinq practices. The main <br /> � production area modification projects include the instr.11ation of ; <br /> '' � a pH control system, chnnges and ndditiona to the process and <br /> �, � rinse tnnks, and the installation of a batch treatment syetem. � . <br /> The changes in the proceae and rinse tanks will allow for capture <br /> i � , ,� of the pollutants in dead rinaes that subsequently are batch <br /> treated. <br /> � �' � <br /> The wastewater discharges to the City of Everett sewer system via a 6 <br /> 'I � inch diameter sewer pipe. <br /> - � � The above proposal is cateqorically exempt frow SSP1► compliance per <br /> � WAC 197-11-800(3) . This section exempts „the minor elteratian of <br /> _— � existinq private or public structures, facilities or equipment, <br /> ` includinq utilities, involving no material expansions or changes in <br /> �; use beyond that previously existing". WAC 197-11-800(24) (b) also <br /> exempts "All stormwater, water and sewer facilities, lines, equipment, <br /> hookups or appurtenances including, utilizing or related to lines <br /> ' eiqht inches or less in diameter." An environmental checklist <br /> ° submittal is not requireB for this proposal. <br />
