The following are the special circumstances which apply <br />to my propert}� which deprive me of rights and privileges which are <br />enjoyed Uy other properties in the vicinity under the identical <br />zone classification. <br />Tenants of the Gospel Mission for the most part arrive on foot <br />Titere is a surplus of public parking area in the vicinity, <br />POINT 2. The variance I am requesting will not be detrimental to <br />the public weliare or injurious to the properties or improvements <br />in the vicinity of a zone in �ahich my property is located hecausr: <br />The variance requested will enhance the Public interest �.�w�.,'��3re <br />particularly in the vicinity by creating lar4er inside facilities <br />for those who would otherwise be on the street. <br />POINT 3. If this variance is not granted, an unnecessary hardship <br />will continue to the owner of this property, the cause of which is <br />beyond his control because: <br />We have no available property for off-street parkin4. Contributors <br />sometimes use the.parking area of Judd & Black for convenience <br />although the proximity of the freeway overpass results in a larqe <br />amount of unused on-street parking area. If the variance is not <br />granted the object and purpose of the Mission would be stifled. <br />POINT 4. So as not to grant a special privilege to me by the granting <br />of tliis variance I submit the following conditions t-o be imposed so <br />as not to cause inconsistencies with the limitations upon otlier <br />properties in the vicinity and zone in wl�ich I am located. <br />The operation of the Mission is unique in the area and the contem- _ <br />plated addition to the building so small that the variance recluested <br />would not appear to be a special privileqe or inconsistent with anY <br />limitations placed on other property in the vicinity. In fact the <br />reason for the small addition is to better serve the neighborhood <br />and the entire city. <br />
