There are three alternatives: <br />maintain a direct easterly ramp (no[ recommended by WSDOT) <br />a buttonhook ramp at Chestnut (opposed by businesses) <br />a buttonhook ramp at a new intersection of Walnut extended. <br />The attached TAC package shows the approximate alignments, fu[ure <br />traffic volumes and existing volumes with additional traffic eng- <br />neering comments. <br />The Cheyenne Club needs parking and construction of the preferred <br />alternative affects its parking; [he Walnut extender. right-of-way <br />will•require purchase of land ahere the Cheyenne Club parking lot <br />is to be improved. <br />*�400,000 is the cost estimate to construct Walnut(Pacific to <br />Hewitt) plus right-of-way, see Feb 2 WSDOT letter <br />RECOMME"l0ATI0N: � <br />Lt is recommended to adopt the attached resolution selecting <br />alternative 1. <br />Y1� <br />ta <br />� <br />..i <br />� <br />
