M1TG1 <br />The Honorable Mayor and fhe �ity Commissionero of ihe City of <br />Everett <br />Gentlemen; <br />We, the members of the Everett Porl Commission are contemplating material <br />improvemenh to Pier 3, but wid improvements are confingent on obtaining a <br />building pertnit from the City of Everett. We hove received a lefter from your <br />Fire Marshall notifying us that we must put in a sprinkler system wifhin the next <br />six months. At the present time this is impossible, as all of our money has been <br />allocated For fhe next five years. It will be impossible for us to make the con- <br />templated improvements and also insfall fhe :prinkler system. However, if you <br />gentlemen are willing to have a building perrnit issued to us for the improvements <br />we wish to make at this time to Pier 3 and are willing to waif until the present <br />lease with $eott Paper Company expires within the next five years, at that time <br />we will install an overhead sprinkler system, within six (6) months of July 1, 1971. <br />Inasmuch as the bid opening is Tuesday evening, August 9 at 8:00 p.m., it is <br />neceswry for us to have wid building permit by that time.
