We would have to ubtain
legal guidance on thi urior to proceecling.
Another way o£ handling the situation is sending a letter to
the owner of the property advising him of the neighbornood
concern, declarinq t•he houses to be a public nuisance and
yiving him a certain period of time to make the housea
habitable and stating that the buildings and prmises shall
be maincained at all times in such a manner that they Will
not be a hazard or a blight to the neighborhood.
These are only two of aeveral houses wnich are owned 5y Mr.
Davis in Everett and they are all in the same condition. Mr.
Davi and his wife iwho has a crippling disease) live in the
rundown deteriorated motel behind the Totem Restaurant.
People throughout the city who live around any one oi Mr.
Davis' properties have desperately in vane to try to get
something dane with the buildinos and properties.
