� <br />October 8, 1986 <br />Mortgage Services, Inc. <br />Attn: Duc Banh <br />1710 100th Place S.E. <br />Everett, WA 98204 <br />Lear Sir: <br />the Evergreen <br />CITV OF <br />everett <br />This will certify that an inspection of the structure located at 1820 <br />Highland, Everett, Washington, was made by the 8uilding Inspection Division of <br />the City of Everett. <br />The second story of the structure does not meet the requirements for a <br />habitable space pursuant to Section 503(a) of the Uniform Housing Code. <br />"Habitable space shall have a ceiling height of not less than 7 feet, 6 <br />inches, except as otherwise permitted in this section. Kitchen, halls, <br />bathrooms and toilet compartments may have a ceiling height of not less than 7 <br />feet measured to the lowest projection from the ceiling. If any room in a <br />building has a sloping ceiling, the prescri.bed height for the room is required <br />in only one-half the area thereof. No portion of the room, measuring less <br />than 5 feet from the finished °loor to the finished ceiling, shall be included <br />in any computation of the minimun area thereof." <br />Section 3306(p) of the Uniform Building Code states; "Every stairway shall <br />have a headroom clearance of not less than 6 feet, 6 inches." <br />The second story of this house can be used <br />be used for storage, the ceiling height at <br />meet the requirements for stairway headroom. <br />All stairways shall have handrails. <br />only for storage.
