June 10, 1971
Snohomish County P.U.D.
2320 California
Everett, Washington 98201
Attn: Mr. Dorway Re: 2406 Highland
Dear Mr. Dorway:
The City is requesting a disconnect of service of an unoccupied
house at 2406 Highland. The existing service is now a 110 V
open loop meter with the entire house on one circuit. There
are open live wires where outlets have been removed or light
fixtures broken and torn off the ceiling leaving the live wires
exposed.
the Evergreen
CITY Of
everett
CITY HALL , 296.0983
[VCNtTT. WANHINOTON
964101
INBPZCTION O[PAIITM[NT
Extention cords have been spliced into the original wiring and
tacked along the walls for extended use. The existing service
drop now extends across a roof that is accessible to children
crawling out through upstairs windows. The entire wiring system
is inadequate for even moderate use of electricity without over-
loading the branch circuits. The branch circuit was over fused.
The wiring system is too deteriorated to be considered safe enough
to keep in service.
We will contact the customer service desk when we feel the house
has been brought up to a minimum safety standard.
Yours truly
L. J. Dougherty
Electrical Inspector
LJD:eb
