May 3, 1995 Craig Hawkins Sterling Construction 12518 NE 190th Place Woodfnville, WA 98072 Dear Craig: In reference to our telephone conversation this morning, I am enclosing cop(es of the building permit application, building permit C46264 issued to Sterling Construction on December 19, 1994 for 2414 Highland Drive as well as the Registration Verification from Department of Labor & Industries. As you can see on the application form, the owner did not name a generai contractor at the time of submittel, but later provided the contractor information as ahown on the permit. It is our procedure to accee the pe miteso it is ready to�hand enter it into our database as given to us and typ over at the time of issuance. State law RCW 18•27•110 requires that a valid copy of the contractor's State Contractor Registration be on file in this office before the permit can be issued. The verification that was given to us shows the license number as STERLC•066RH. We changed the license number in the database but failed to make the aame correction on the already printed permit. Due to the state law referenced above, the City would have to accept as valid contractor the one for sucih verifi etion we have Ro9St ei ng Construction nd t e ttached building only permit is the only permit we have issued to Sterling Construction during the five years we've been on computer.
