PUALIC warms
November 13, 2000
Gary Parkinson Architects
c/o Ryan Ellinghaus
2812 Colby
Everett, WA 98201
Subject: Owner: Prime Equipment
Address: 2810 Highland Drive
Plan Check No.: B0011-006
Dear Mr. Ellinghaus:
In response to your application for a construction permit, your plans have been examined and you are
advised that the issuance of a permit is being withheld for the reasons listed below. These comments
address building issues only. Additional revisions or additions may be required by other departments
(such as Utilities, Planning or Fire). All references refer to the 1997 Uniform Building Code, as
amended by the State of Washington and/or Washington State Energy Code 1997 Edition, unless
stated otherwise.
In order for the processing of your application to continue, it will be necessary to provide the
Building Division with two complete new sets of drawings reflecting the corrections requested.
There appear to be major discrepancies between the Varco-Pruden building documents and
everything else that has been submitted, including the preliminary reactions and loading provided
by Varco-Pruden. The architectural and structural foundation drawings and calculations are all
indicating an open canopy with base dimensions of 99'-6"X30'-3". The Varco-Pruden
fabrication drawings indicate a closed -ended canopy with base dimensions of I 17'-0"X45'-0".
2. The Varco-Pruden documents (including both drawings and final calculations) are required to be
stamped by an engineer licensed in the State of Washington.
Upon resubmittal of the drawings, your application will be given priority and plan review will
recommence.
All required submittals shall be of sufficient detail and contain sufficient information to ensure that the
proposed structure will be constructed in compliance with all adopted codes.
Sincerely, f ,/t--
4
Steve Miller
Associate Engineer
S:ULindsav\WORD\MILLER.
