Applin <br />Job Address: 6410 Highland Drive <br />Plan Check No.: 35867 <br />Dear Mr. Applin: <br />f� <br />In response to your applicadon for a construction permit, your plans have been examined and <br />you are advised that the �ssuance of a pettnit is being withheld for the reasons listed below. <br />Thesc comments addmss building issues only, addidonal revisions or additions may be <br />required by other departments (such as Utilihes, Planning or Fire). All references refer to the <br />1988 Uniform Buildmg Code and/or Washington Sfate Energy Code unless stated otherwise. <br />1. Plans do not show insulation levels required by the energy calculadons that were <br />submitted with your plans. Drawings shall reflect any add�Uonal construction required to <br />comply with the Energy Code. Ceilings aze required to be insulated to R-30, walls are <br />required to be insulated to R-21. <br />2. Rigid insulation at the exterior shall extend from the top of the footing to the top of the <br />concrete stem wall. The insuladon used shall be approved for below grade use. <br />3. The plans show an opening into the existing residence adjacent to the new entrance to the <br />second living space, the party wall detail indicates that the floor level of the existing <br />residence is somewhat higher than the floor level in the altered space, show in the plans <br />what conditions exist, i.e., stairs, door location and direction of swmg. <br />4.
