Mrs. Sharon Johnston <br />July 25, 1983 <br />Page Two <br />Sec. 302 of the Uniform Code for the Abatement of Oangei•ous Buildings: <br />Any building or structure which has any or all of the conditions <br />or defects hereinafter described shall be deemed to be a dangerous <br />building: <br />1. Whenever any portion thereof has been damaged to such a� <br />extent that the structural strength or stability thereof <br />is materially less than it was before such catastrophe and <br />is less than the minimwn requirements of the Duilding Code <br />for ne�a buildings of similar structure. <br />2. Whenever any portion or member or appurtenance thereof is <br />likely to fail, or to become detached or dislodged, or <br />to collapse and thereby injure persons or damage property. <br />3. Whenever the e::terior o�alls or other vertical structural <br />members list, lean or bucY.le to such an extent that a plumb <br />line passin9 through the center of gravity does not fall <br />inside the middle one-third of the base. <br />The building has been damaged by partial demolition and is currently <br />leaning on the neighbor's fence to the north of the building. Conse- <br />quently, the fence is falling over due to the stress bein9 placed on <br />it by the building. <br />The building could collapse at any time causing injury to peopie as <br />well as property. <br />_o...rc�:m.rve ..
