This is <br />t�ue because Chapter 5 allows Componenf PeAormance calculations to include heat loss improvements in the <br />existing home. The Chapter 6, P�esciptive Approach would normally be the /i�st choice for new dwellings since <br />it provides a variety or compliance options, is easier to use, and is no more stringent than Chapter 5. <br />Component Performance calculations may also be performed by compuler using programs such as WA7TSUN <br />5.1. <br />Instructions: <br />PaAes 1, 2, 3 The .`irst two pages provide instructions and icrms for performing the Component Perlormance <br />calculations.
