WA 98801 <br />(509)665-7696•FAY (509)665-7692 <br />This letter presents the results of our geotechnical engineering evaluation of the planned temporary <br />ecology block wall construction on the residential property located at 1618 Holbrook Avenue — Lot 2 in <br />Everett, Washington. <br />INTRODUCTION <br />The site consists of a recently excavated building pad for it planned single -fancily residence. along the <br />base of a nnoderate to steep north facing slope near the southern property line. The slope rises roughly 50 <br />feet with inclinations of 15 to 35 degrees. You have requested that we evaluate the subsurface soil and <br />groundwater conditions at the site and provide reconunendations for design and construction of a <br />temporary ultra block retaining wall to support it cut along the southern side of your property. We <br />understand that you plan to construct the single -fa inily residence near the southern property line, adjacent <br />to the temporary ultra block wall and then backfill the area between the block wall and the south <br />retaining wall of the residence with the ultra block wall remaining in place. <br />For our use in preparing this letter we have beet! provided with a hand drawn site plan titled, "Plot Plan <br />for Lyashuk Residence — Lot 2 (1618 Holbrook Avenue);' dated November 6, 2006. This plan shows the <br />property lines and locations of the planned pavencent and structures. <br />
