'itions oere found;
Tlie panel had at one time Ueen protected with fuse sCats as evidence of the
mangled bases that are left. Puse stats and non-tamperable must be used, All
fuses in the panel toere 30 amper rated on taire that is a.proved for 15 amp.
Circuits were doubled up on the fuses. Tlis is not permitcAd by code. lioth
panels are in the locaer aparCment and violates tlte code rule of having the
service available to each tenant, Tliere were insuff.icient num;er c` ouL•lets
in the apartments whicli caused the use of extention cords. Of th five rooms
in eacli of the apartments, I found three outlets upstairs and four outleLs down
stairs. The light fixture in Che downstairs aparCment liad been removed because
of tlie insulation burned off the fixture wire. The two exposed wires have
been added to the original house wiring and of what I could see, it is not
acceptable to code.
The upper apartment is fed off one circuit only. There are no appliance circuits
and also a lack of outlets. As a ohole, I do not feel the house is adaquately
wired to Ue used as a duplex.
Larger size panels sliould be installed for both apartments in addition to nore
outlets in each,
Respectfully
L.
