40
December 12, 1984
Mr. Charles M. Rodick
5409 W. Highland Road
Everett WA 98203
Dear Mr. Rodick:
CITY OF
everett
PUBLIC WOFNG DEFART 64'.
3200 CEDAR 5TFLE7
EVERETT WASHINGiON
96201
It has been brought to the attention of this department that you have
built a fence around your yard and there was a question concerning the
allowable height of the fence.
Although permits are not required for building fences within the City
of Everett, there are restrictions governing the height of fences. The
height limitations for fences is explained in Chapter 19.42 of the
City of Everett Zoning Code. A copy of that Chapter is enclosed for
your information.
An inspection and measurement of your fence indicated that there are some
areas of the fence beyond the six foot allowable height for back yards.
The six foot height limitation is measured from ground level; anything
beyond six feet at that point is not allowed.
If you have any questions concerning this matter you may call me at
259-8745. For further interpretation of the Zoning Code you may call the
Everett Planning Department at 259-8731.
W
ruly'
 J
G.
