" All necessary procedures iaere followed in aUatement of tlte structure and the owners i��ere notified accordingly. On August 20 , 1`975 , Council Kesolution No . 1053 ordered demolition - held in abeyance Uy Council for 90 days and tlien call for Uids . On November 1 , 1977, the Uid for demolition was awarded to Dietropol` can Construction Company. On November 1 , 1977 , Metropolitan Constructicn Company moved in their equipment for demolition of the sYructure , but had to aUort tlie tiaork due to the structure being occtipied. During the period of timc bet�aeen November 1 , 1977 and Diarch 5, 1979 , tlierc iaere appeals and other legal maY.ters ialiich postponed proceeding with abatement. On March 5 , 1979, an inspection of the structure was conducted through a neighborhood complaint and tliere liad Ueen furtlier deterioration and vandalism to the structure. On April 10 , 1979 , the structure iaas once again posted as "Unlaw.'',:_ to Occupy" and aUatement procedures begun once again. ' Each tir�e a Building Officials liearing ivas scl�eduled for this structure (August 21 , 1979, November 13, 1979 , and January 3 , 1980) tlie hearings were postponed due to this office Ueing advised by phone , letter and in person that the structure had been sold. On January 3, 1980, documents from the Pioneer Title Co. indicated no change in oivnership . Again on Pebruary 2G , 1980 , documents received from the Pioneer Title Co. indicated no change in ownersliip . At this time I respectfully request to present this metter to the City Council on Diarch 26 , 1980.
