GRAND CITY OF FVERETT, EVERETT WASHINGTON <br /> (The rear yard deck and <br /> garage roof top deck) <br /> I made a field trip to the above iocation and found the <br /> following: <br /> 1. 10-12 concrete footings (18" X 18" approximately) in <br /> the rear yard, which will support the deck shown on <br /> the plans suUmitted. <br /> 2. The garage had a slightly pitched roof with 4" X 4" <br /> posts extending up 4 to 6 feet above the roof line in <br /> approximately 6 to 6 places so as to support a deck <br /> over the top of the garage. <br /> 3. The existing garage has only a one (1) foot setback <br /> from the south property line. <br /> After the field trip, I reviewed the plans submittted and have <br /> the following recommendations: <br /> 1. I am not sure what exactly we approved in light of <br /> ced marks and other comments made on the plans. <br /> Please clarify tFis. Did we approve a deck over the <br /> garage? <br /> 2, Given the appearance of the construction to date in <br /> the field, I feel we should only allow the <br /> non-conforming garage to be remodeled, changed, or <br /> altered so that there is no charge beyond the bulk of <br /> the building which previously existed (width, length, <br /> and height) . <br /> 3. Any changes to an existing non-conforming structute <br /> which alters its bulk and external appearance needs a <br /> + va�iance. <br /> 4 .
