r � <br /> , , <br /> NARRATIVE STATEMENT <br /> We would like to continue the construction of the sundeck above our -� <br /> �- existing garage in the southwest corner of our lot at 1500 Grand Avenue. <br /> Our Nlans were approved by the Building Department and a building permit <br /> was issued. Because the existing garage where the deck is to be placed <br /> above is not located the proper distance from the South property line <br /> as specified in todays building code a Stop Work Order was obtained by <br /> the neighbor at 15J2 Grand Avenue. <br /> In consideration of my neighbor's view I replaced the garage roof with <br /> a loiver pitch so the level of ihe deck would be as close to the original <br /> height of the garage as possi'�le. It is approximately 3 �nches above the <br /> original garage height. I do not feel this is a detrimental difference. <br /> If the deck were to be moved t�� meet todays code requirements no property <br /> owner, including m�•�elf, would benefit (view wise) from the move. <br /> When the Stop Work Order was issu��d I was within a few hours of completing <br /> the deck as planned.
