We can certainly attach these comments with the building permit application. However, the comments look like suggestions rather than conditions. So, its best to try to convince him to change the plans before building department completes their review. We commend Mr. Wilson on the improvement in his plans. The design of the roof and dormers is greatly improved over his initial plan and is sympalhetic lo lhe original design of the house. 2. We slrongly encourage the original windows in the house facing Grand Ave. be preserved. These are the windows witli tlie diamond-shaped detail in the top 1/3 of the windows. I believe Mr.Wilson moved one of lhese windows from lhe soulh elevalion to the west elevation of the house. We encourage both lhe large cenler window and the vertical side windows to be preserved. If lhe vertical side windows no longer exist and must be replaced, lhey should be replaced with windows in lhe same configuration as originally in tlie house, i.e. divided above lhe half-way point of the window lo match existing. (The diamond paltern does not need to be replicated in new windows.) Any replacement of the Iarger windows should also coniirm to lhis configuralion. 3. We also encourage Mr. Wilson to add some detail at the top of the porch columns similar to that which originally existed.
