Based on a spacing
of 6 feet on-center, this area would require approximately 112 shrubs. Aa stated in the
trea assessment report, suitebla shrubs for sueh a dry, west fecing slope include
oceanspray (Holodiscus diseolor), snowberry, and Douglas maple (Acer g/a6rum). Jne
or twoallon sizes are recommended. Based on our experienee with mitipatfon ar,c
revegetatlon projects, smaller shrubs usu911y experience lass transplant shok ao
establish more quickly (with a higher survival percentage) than do larger plants. Again I
would recommend that the shrubs bE installed in the late fali, as seasonal rafns will
greatly improve the percentage of survival versus planting in the current summer dry
season. For honding purposes, the costs associated with the project fnclude
approximetely $392 foplant materials and an add(tional $350 for instellallon labor.
Respecffully suhmitted,

Kevin Kalson, Certi`ied Arborist
ISA#PN-2649
72
1927 -5th ftreer • Maryville, W198170 • (360) 659-6159 • Fat: (360) 651-7152 • c•ro+il: n+lf@iWtnaOt.cm
Z •d ZSZL - TS9 (09E1 FC ted dOZ = iO EO 9Z L'
