Marysville, Washington 98270 ',
Reference: Request for inspection by Fire Department
of house at 2011 GLand
Dear Mr. Swan:
i received a request from the Fire Marshal's Office to
investigate an odor of burned insulation at 2011 Grand.
The tenant gave me your name as the owner. •
The investigation was made to be sure there was not an
immediate danger of fire. I found wiring that is in
violation of the code and some that was defecive, but
could not find cause of the odor the tenant complained
about. i did look at the general condition of all the
airina and found it to be inadequate for the demands of ' '
modern day living. The house is badly in need of
additional outlets and circuits through out the house.
With just a circulating heater as the main source of heat
- in the house, there are areas that cannot be heated with-
out resorting to portable electric heaters. The present
wirinq will not accommodate this kind of a load without
the danger of fire.
Would you please 1:ake the necessary steps to resolve
this problem.
Yours truly,
L. J. Dougherty . •
Electrical Inspector
L,TD:eb .
cc: D. Lechner, Fire Department
. •
