( Subsurface Expforatian and
2026 Grand Avenue Gentechnica[Engineering Repon
I Everett Washinqron Project and Site Condttions
i
These sediments have been cunsolidated by the weight of several thousand feet of glacial ice,
( and are suitable for foundation support if properly repared according to the recommendations
 presented in this report.
'
` The geologic map of the Marysville quadrangle, Washington by James P. Minard, dated 198Q
has mapped die area as consisting of Vashon advance sediments. Our subsurface expforations ;
( and soil classificatiuns concur with the published geologic map. i

4.2 Hydrology `
1 As noted on the attached logs, wet to saturated soils were encountered within EB-1 at a depth
of 20 feet and within EB-2 at a depth of 10 feet. The wet condition of soils at depth is likely
I caused by perching of ground water on less permeable finer-grained sediments within the
stratified Esperance sand. Excavation cuts inro the sediments will daylight the perched ground
ater layers.
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
1
i

 Ju!te 19, ZlXJO dSSOCI.ITED EAR7N SCIENCES, INC.
Ii,vse-nr.cnaix-rnrnnw-rx Page4
