AS <br /> Dear Mr. lliody: <br /> The City of �berett received a complaint regarding apartment I15 at 2131 Grand <br /> Avenue. As a result of the complaint, an inspection was conducted and the <br /> follorring violations were noted pursuant to the Uniform Housing Code: <br /> 1. The a[tic of the building has been converted into a dwelling/unit <br /> without required building, plumbing, and electrical permits and <br /> inspectione. <br /> 2. Ceiling heights do not meet the folloWing requirements: Habitable <br /> space shall have a ceiling height of not lese than 7 feet 6 <br /> inches except kitchena, halls, bathrooms, and toilet compartmenta <br /> may have a ceiling height of not less than 7 feet measured to the <br /> lowest portion. <br /> 3. Bain water leaka through [he wall of the bedroom close [o the <br /> window. <br /> 4. There is no emergenr.y egress from sleeping rooma: <br /> "Every sleeping room beloca the forth story of the building shall <br /> have at least one operable wiudow or exteriar door approved for <br /> emergency escape and reacue.
