LCVCL; evuee c �ones <br /> Ciry 4norney <br /> You have previoasly directed corresponder.ce to the Everett <br /> City Council stating that Mr. Edward Taylor would be forced <br /> to bring suit against the Cit,y should the City proceed to demolish <br /> the building at 2405 Grand Avenue under a�zthority of Resolution <br /> #341. Resolution N341, (copy attachedl ;lirects the City of Everett <br /> Building Official to demolish the structure as specified in Notice <br /> of Unsafe Building '70� 5-3 (cupy attached). The Notice of Unsafe <br /> Building and Notice of Preaantation of the Building OfTiciai's Request <br /> to the C�ty Council for An Order were served on Mr. Taylor but Mr. <br /> Taylor did not choose to appear at council hearing to present argu- <br /> ments opposing Resolution #341, nor did a representative appear. <br /> This letter is to inform you and all interested parties that the City <br /> of Everett I3uilding Inspection Department intends to call ior bids <br /> to demolish the luilding under direction of Resolutiori H341. The <br /> Cit,y Inspection Department will direct the successful bidder to proceed <br /> with demolition unless an interested party appears before the City <br /> Council witliin thirty (30) days to request modification of Resolution <br /> H341 or action is taken to assure elimination of the existittg nuisance. <br /> This matter may be presented for Council reconsideratiott at the regular <br /> Wednesday Council meeting. If you desire to appear before the City <br /> Council, please contact the undersigned. If you intend to take action - <br /> to eliminatc the existing nuisance, please contact Mr. Robert Royce <br /> of the City Inspection Department at 253-8745. <br /> The City has delayed action on Resolution N341 on your :5surance tliat <br /> Mr. Taylor was seeking F. H.A. financing to renair this building. Our <br /> investigation indicates that the g�vernment issue� a conditional commitment <br /> on this property on June 17, 1970 which expired December 17, 1970, <br /> prior to application for a building permit. Mr. Taylor has never submitted <br />
