John Parrens, Plan Checker
City of Everett
City Ball
Everett, Washington 98201
WELFARE OFFICE, 2809 GRAND AVENUE, EVERETT, WASHINGTON
Thank you for your letter of. January 5 wherein you advise that
our Public Assistance facility at 2809 Grand Avenue is to some
extent operating in violation of the City of Everett's Uniform
Building Code.
We were not aware that we stood in violation of the Code, but
were well aware of the crowded situation. We have leased additional
space, some 3,000 square feet at 1309 Hewitt Avenue, for our food
stamp operations. This will take considerable pressure off of
our Grand Avenue facility with regards to both waiting rooms and
staff space.
Concurrently, plans are being developed for decentralization of
our Everett Office. These plans are based on providing better
service to clients and, in addition, easing of crowded facilities.
Again, thanks for your interest.
1
C QUENTI-N L.
