She indicated that she had
requested, in writing to the owner, that needed repairs be fixed.
Upon my arrival at the unit, the tena.a, Wendy Hunter, showed me a letter she had written to the
owner of the property requesting repairs and next she produced a report from an inspector for
Washington Natural Gas. The report said that the gas fumace could not be operated in its present
condition and that the furnace had to be replaced. A section of gas pipiig had been removed
from the fumace system to prevent usage of the fumace.
The tenant said the owner of the property was not being cooperative in making the repairs.
During my inspection of the unit, the tbllowing deficiencies were noted. These deficiencies may
be considered sufficient to declaze the unit subsiandard and hazardous to tha health, safery, and
welfare of the occupants.
1) The main entrance door frame is broken and/or rotted in the azea of the hinges
which leaves the door unsecured and eventually may .vork its way loose, fall and possibly injure
someone.
2) There is no heat for the unit.
3) Bare wires protrude from the ceiling light fixture in the bedroom. The tenant
stated that they no longer use the light fixture because its lights flicker when people walk in the
living unit above or on the stainvay in the common area.
4)
5)
The tenant states that the electrical oudet in the bathroom shorts out.
The tenant does not have access to the electrical service bo.
