The houae wae built approximately 75 years ago along xith ths outside stairs on the north side oY the building for principal acceae to the rear entry. The forementioaed encloaure for tne aLaira xas built on at a later date and from the general condition it must have been added on as long as 50 yeara or eo ago. The atairs nox provide the only acceas to the rear yard area arrd to the enclosed basement and garage. Hecause of Lhe deteriorated oondition of the enrlosure due to decay and the elementa beaidea the somexhat �jerrybuilt� nature of the addit3on� it ie asked ttrat permiasion for its removal be graated xith provieion� for replacemenL vith a proper enclosure uith the same aid� yard lim�ta that nox axist. As vas earller ex�lained, the only other alternative xould be to patch � the exiating enciosure and by ao doing there �+ould be little contribution to tk�e riorth oS the building.
