Box 428
Mukilteo, Washington 98275
U[LL[VUE » •-
Reference: Lynnewood Avenue Plat Clearing and Grading
Site Investigation - April 23, 1975
Dear Dave:
As you reque;ted, I am writing this letter confirming our conversation on the site
while investigating a deposit of clearing debris and eartl nn the northcasterly side
of Lynnewood Avenue on property owned by you.
Prom what I was able to observe, the fill material you have deposited consisting of
logs, trees and branches, other debris and earth appears to be quite stable at this
present time. However, I would suggest procedures which would reduce risk of
excessive settlement and erosion i protect the adjacent properties and tVie drainage
course located at the bottom of the ravine.
To improve t stability oE this fill, I would suggest that the material consisting of
clearing debris be compacted in layers with adequate eartll to fill all voids. You
yhould also provide adequate diametrr drain tile to conduct water which is flowir.y
from the south into the fill area, around the fill and discharge in a manner to prevent
erosion. You should also provide fcr storm drain control at Lynnevaood Avenue so
that vaater will not be alluwed to discharge over the bank onto the fill area. After
the fill has Ueen placed and cmpacted, the area should be sloped away from Lynnewood
Avenue at at least a two (2%) percent slope and the area should be covered with top
soil compacted and seeded with grass to prevent erosion and provide runoff for storm
water .
If the above precautions are taken, it is
will not endanger downstream property
course at the bottom of the ravine.
my oPinion that the fill material as placed
nor will it endanger the natural drainage
Please call me if you have any further questions.
Sin
 CITY OF EVEF'.L'' i
Levon 7ohnson APPROVED FOR BUILUING f'L'R'ji
President rnt f is-j,j_..-.
