If the project meets all of the criteria for success at the end of the three-year monitoring period, no further action will be required. If the definition of success is not met, the maintenance and monitoring period will be extended for one year at a time until the site meets the performance standards. If the success criteria are met prior to the end of the three- year monitoring period, the City of Everett may allow an early termination of the monitoring and maintenance at their discretion. 7.7 SITE PROTECTION Following completion of this project, all on -site critical areas will be designated as Environmentally Sensitive Areas. Critical Area signage shall be placed along the boundary of the Critical Area as depicted on the attached site plan. 7.8 CONTINGENCY PLAN If during any of the inspections, 20 percent of the planted plants are severely stressed, or it appears 20 percent may not survive, additional plantings of the same species or, if necessary, alternative species may be added to the planting area. If this situation persists into the next inspection, a meeting with the City of Everett planner, the consulting wetland specialist, and the property owner will be scheduled to decide upon contingency plans. Elements of the contingency plan may include, but will not be limited to: more aggressive weed control, replanting with different size plant material, species substitutions, fertilization, soft amendments and/or irrigation. 7.9 AssuRANCE DEVICE The following is an estimate of plant materials and labor only.
