No agent of transportation such as water or ice, is involved, although the <br />moving material may have contained water or ice. It includes talus, landslide debris, and debris <br />flow deposits. In some cases it may also include deposits resulting from slope wash. <br />conifer: ? cone -bearing tree or other plant that has its seeds in a structure called a cone (Lilly 2001) <br />DSH: diam0er at standard height; the diameter of the trunk measured 54 inches (4.5 feet) above <br />grade (Matheny et al. 1998) <br />deciduous: (ree or other plant that loses its leaves sometime during the year and stays leafless <br />generally during the cold season (Lilly 2001) <br />trunk area: the cross -sectional area of the trunk based upon measurement at 54 inches (4.5 ft) <br />above grade (Matheny at al. 1998) <br />VTA (Visual Tree Assessment): method of evaluating structural defects and stability in trees by <br />noting the pattern of growth.
