In my opinion, 'his requirement will hinder f ie home owners ability to access and maintain the drainagE• system and shoring wall. The area between the residence a, id wall should be covered with normal landscaping that would help reduce soil erosion in this area, but at the same time provide ample access to the drains and wall for regular maintenance and emergency repairs. I am available to meet with you on site to discuss this issue and hopefully arrive at decisions that would satisfy the City and address my concerns. This plan basically allows us to pick up all of the runoff in a tightline and sending it down to the bottom of the slope. This is now possible because the new owners of the lot below are more cooperative than the previous owner. We are hoping to implement the drainage system as part of the permit for the shoring wall, to avoid any delays. Please let me know if a separate permit is required, thanks Khal
