We previously performed a geotechnical
study for the project and presented our findings in the referenced report.
Foundati
Our. construction services included observing general excavaf t conditions, conducting 40sity oats in.
some structural fills, and observing some ofthc drainage _istallations. After forms and rn sforoiag steel
had been placed, we examined footing' excavations. This assessment verified that soils with adequate
bearing capacity were present at the footing bearing elevation. Based on our obsavatioos, them
excavation will provide support for the design bearing capacity of 2,500 pounds square foot (pst): We
have attached our field memos ddscribing the conditions observed.
A large stump was observed in the southeast coma of the rcsideoce excavation. that required the
overexcavation of loose and disturbed soils. The resulting excavation was subsisquintly lfUed with • .
concrete at the recommendation of the structural engina.T: The concrete in the stamp-mmoval am was
pr.- ent at the time of our initial foundation examination. Following the construction of the house walls,
we observed the placement of subsurface drainage, perforated pipe, and dntiri rock behind the footings '
and walls. These observations are discussed in the attached field memo.
12525 Willows Road, Suite 101, Kirkland, Washington 98034
11L--- JA1 r% o'1y . C.:., Win 011 A22A
