Our services included providing on-site observatlon, performinp field
densiry tests, and providing the necessary laboratory tests on fill samples as required for
foundation bearing soils and building area fill. We previously prepered the referenced
geotechnical engineering study for this project.
During greding operations, our representatives were on-site on a part-time basis. Between
November 29, 2000 and April 20, 2001 our representatives made e total of eleven (11) site
visits. During this period, sixteen (16) field density tests were conducted on sbuctural fllis.
Our fieid density tests were performed in accordance with ASTM Test Designation D-2922
(Nuclear Gauge Methodl. One representetive soil sbmple was retumed to our laboratory for
maximum dry density tests in accordance with ASTM D-1557-91 (Modified Proctor. Besed
on the results of our tests, the structural fill tested was adequately compacted to the
requirements of structural fill.
ECI representatives also observed the foundation bearing soils. The bearirp soils consist ef
medium dense to dense silty sand with gravel and should provide adequate support for the
design two thousand five hundred (2,500) pound per square foot design load.
1805 • 136th Place N.E., Suite 201, Bellewe, Washington 98005 Bellevue (425) 643-3780 FAX (425) 7460860 Toll Free (888) 739-6670
