Basically, CSFTS carrot provide a warranty with t aspect to levels of
treaunent This is primarily because the exact volumes and pollutant characteristics of the storm
water is unknown. However, i can provide testament as a professional engineer that the data
presented for the system in the BMP documents submitted to CT are factual and representative of
how the system should operate in the field. I should also point out the design engineers do not
provide warrantees on the level of treatment of conventional BMPs such as ponds or swale.
Our business is water quality treatment Our ftrture relies on customer service, research and
development, and providing a quality product. As part of our commitment, we will provide
continuing support to the parson(3) providing operations and maintenance to this facility.
There are some concerns about the nature of the pollutants being generated on the site. It is my
understanding that the primary runoff surfwe is parking lot surface. Assuming that the owner
provides periodic sweeping and catch basin maintenance, this facility is appropriately sized.
Like any other BMP, source control will enhance the operation and longevity of the filter system.
The City of Everett has also provided a set of review comments for the compost filter. Below ate
responses to the comments that are supplemental to the BMP document we have submitted for
the City's review.
A draft O&M Manual for the Type II open unlit is almost complete, upon completion, we will
send it to the City.
-fi,:s rrranual i5 rehutr,24, per- 4iv 5E1q 11vr Ci ,j reu;ew and typprovaI .
Ej
07/24/96 16:52 TX/RX N0.0327 P.007
