The International Building Code and the International Residential Code state that all pennits expire if the work authorized by the pennits is suspended or abandoned for a period of 180 days after the work is commenced. Work under this pennit will no longer be authorized unless you: 1) Demonstrate continuing progress by requesting inspection of work that has occurred since your last inspection, or 2) Request final inspections of the work that i., completed, or 3) Submit a written request for a 180 day extension, detailing justifiable cause for extension. Please respond within 10 days. After that time your pennit file will be sent to our Records Department for microfilming without documentation of final approval.
