;' <br />r <br />� <br />� <br />� ° Streams <br />� The City of Everett has classified the site as an environmentally sensitive area E-,ased on <br />i <br />the presence of Merrill and Ring Creek (Stream Category 1. <br />� <br />� <br />;+ <br />M <br />� <br />This report was prepared in accordance with the requirements of Section 37 of the Everelt <br />Zoning Code describing actions proposed to restore and protect the stream.. <br />RESTORATION PLAN OVERVIEW <br />T'he report ptesents a plan for restoration of approximately 825 feet o� Merrill and Ring <br />Creek, which is in a degraded condition and does not support fis.i in the teach adjacent to <br />the subjecl property (Figure 1). The channel would connect to t!ie previously planned <br />restoration project downstream, s�e Merrill and Ring Creek Rr;toration Project, prepared by <br />Jones k Stokes Associates, 1990. <br />Th: southern porh..n of the channel would be moved h om its present locatiu�i to ,vithin <br />a corridor adjacent to Hardeson Road, a d'utance of appmximately 20-40 feet. The balanre of <br />the sKeam wou�d be resto*ed wfthL� im Prese°� �°°� M'ithout substantial relocation. <br />BASELINE INFORMATION <br />Baseline inforn�tion pertauiing ro Merrill and Ring Creek and the site was gathered by a <br />review of existing docvments and a site visit durmg February 1991 by Pentec staff. The <br />primary daument used to prepare this section was thc "South Everett Drainage Basins Plan <br />for Basin Number 5, Merrill and Ring Creek;' prepared by Brown and Caldwell and the City <br />of Everett. <br />MERRILL AND RING CREEK BASIN <br />'Che Merrill and Ring Creek basin is approximately 3 miles long, 0.25 to 0.75 miles wide, <br />and covers about 750 acres.
