A VERSAT/LE FABR/C
' FOR
LONG TERM SOLUTIONS
Construction projects and natural forces can
create dramatic changes in the terrain when
vegetation is removed or dies. If left unpro-
tected, unsightly erosion problems will occur.
These troublesome areas include waterways,
storm channels, river banks, lakeshorelines, and
severe slopes. D¢KnV1 erosion control fabrics
were developed to stabilize the soil in such areas
and aid in the establishmerrt of vegetation, often
under extremely tough circumstances. Made
trom 100% coconut fiber, DcKWVc fabria will
lart five to ten years before totally biodegrading.
The combination of this longevity with
its ettellent filtration properties and high tensile
strength makes this fabric a proven natural atter-
na[ive to riprap, concrete, or synthetic malterials
Time after time, DEI(o1N[ fabria have ben
successful against soil erosion caused by'tiigh
veiociry water flows. ,'
SLOPES AND HIGH
ALTITUDE APPL/CAT/ONS
High strength, heavy duty materials are ohen
required to stabilize steep andlor irregular slopes
where the grade may exceed 1:1. In high altitude
applications such as ski slopes, ski lifts, and
mountain passes, the growing seawn is brief.
Plano need a few years to produce a suitable
ufeguard against erosion, as nature intended.
DeKoWE erosion control fabria are particularly
suited to these extreme conditiaa. They will
last through many growing seasom, allowing
the vegetation time to become vuell established.
In high treffic areas, the fabric provides pro-
tection for the root syztems of slow growing
gresses in high akitude applica[ions. Tough
DEKoWE fabria, with their high tenzile
strength and wear resistance, stop erosion
problems in many different ways.
This sample o/OFKOWt 900 is shown at N46 0/ li/e size.
n
\ r tT..A,.'
