The perimeter doors should be solid core with 190 degree-220
degree wide angle viewers and single cylinder deadbolts with 1"
throw and at least 3" screws securing striker plate.
b. Store front glass doors: Locking core bolts top and bottom of
one door and the maximum security for other doors - deadbolt
should be 3/4" long and 3/4" laminated steel.
C. Loading dock doors: More security doors and secured with 3/8"
case hardened steel clasps or chain and padlocks with 1/2" case
hardened steel shackles.
d. Glazing: The more business windows are viable to "all" parking
lots, the safer the lots are from assaults and thefts. Less
windows, especially opening windows, on other sides and rear give
security.
e. Sliding glass doors should have Charlie Bars installed for
optimum security.
f. Lighting of the parking lot should be a minimum of 1-2 foot
candles.
g. Fending: A 6" cyclone fence with three -strand barbed wire per
City Code. If high risk area, install perimeter sensors.
h.
