Equipment may operate in the flowing stream during removal <br />of the downstrean and upstream plugs from the new channel <br />and during closure and filling of the old channel; except <br />that the drive mechanisms (wheels, tires, tracks, etc.) <br />shall. not enter or operate within the flowing stream dur- <br />ing these operations. <br />7. It is recommended that the new channel be l.ned on the <br />bottom with a gravel mixture containing no material smaller <br />than }S inch (0.25") to provide a more stable, natural - <br />appearing bed, and to minimize taxation of the downstremn <br />siltation control facilities. <br />8. Landscaping shall commence promptly after the channel work <br />and riparian grading in order to control erosion. <br />9. The'siltation control facilities at the lower end of the <br />project shall be maintained continuously throughout the <br />period of construction, and as long thereafter as necessary <br />to maintain State water quality standards. <br />10.
