111 <br />December 13, 1984 <br />To: Mr. Ray Gannon <br />CITY OF <br />everett <br />At your request this department has inspected the property located at <br />2715 Harrison, Everett, Washington. <br />The following defects must be corrected before we can certify that this <br />structure meets the minimum requirements of the Uniform Housing Code: <br />1. Repair the hole in the living room ceilinq. <br />2. Repair ceiling around chimney. <br />3. Safety relief valve on hot water tank requires venting. <br />4. The electrical system has been altered. Th,,z original wiring <br />is very old and once it has been altered it must meet present <br />day codes. <br />5. The upstairs bedroom where the electrical system has been <br />extended does not meet the electrical equipment requirements <br />of at least two supplied electrical convenience outlets or <br />one such convenience outlet and one supplied electric light <br />fixture. <br />6. The ceilinq height at the top of the stairs rues not meet the <br />requirements of Sec. 503(a) of the Uniform Housing Code: "If <br />any room in a building has a sloping ceiling, the prescribed <br />ceiling height for the room is required in only one-half the <br />area thereof. No portion of the room measuring less than <br />five feet from the finished floor to the finished ceiling <br />shall be included in any computation of the minimum area <br />thereof." The height of the ceiling at the top of the steps <br />ranges from 316" at the outer wall; V 8" in the center of the <br />stair landing; to 516" at the inner wall. <br />m <br />0 <br />
