6.-'797" <br /> Resolution No. 5211 <br /> A RESOLUTION accepting a Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Grant in the amount of <br /> $40,070 of which $32,170 will be payable to the Everett Public Library for equipment, <br /> and $7,900 will be paid to the State of Washington Department of Information Services <br /> for K-20 Network connectivity. <br /> WHEREAS computers and access to the Internet have become an important part of living <br /> in our contemporary society, and <br /> WHEREAS it is the desire of the City of Everett and the Everett Public Library to help <br /> Everett's citizens thrive in a changing world, and <br /> WHEREAS the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation makes grants to public libraries to <br /> purchase computers, software and Internet connectivity, <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Everett that the <br /> City of Everett appreciates this opportunity to make additional services available to <br /> patrons of the Library, and gratefully accepts the grant in the amount of$32,170, and <br /> agrees to the Terms and Conditions as spelled out in Grant Number WA-98-98204-01-A, <br /> and authorizes the Mayor to execute all documents and contracts related thereto. <br /> Councilperson Introduci . esolution <br /> Passed and Approved this 26th Day of June 20 <br /> ouncil President <br /> Bill & Melinda Gates Resolution <br />
