/7b/Scai <br /> RESOLUTION No. 5187 <br /> CITY OF EVERETT <br /> RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING <br /> THE MOTOR VEHICLE DIVISION'S FLEET OPERATIONS <br /> WHEREAS,the City of Everett's, Motor Vehicle Division's Fleet Management <br /> operation has been recognized and featured by Automotive Fleet Magazine in its October <br /> 2001 publication as the best managed fleet operations in the nation; and, <br /> WHEREAS,both public and private fleet operations were evaluated against <br /> criteria such as the use of technology in day to day management, financial accountability <br /> and teamwork; and, <br /> WHEREAS, Everett's Motor Vehicle Division's fleet operations maintains more <br /> than 776 city vehicles with a staff of 16 maintenance technicians, four parts personnel, <br /> two communication technicians, and four support staff; and, <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED,that the Mayor and City Council of <br /> Everett hereby congratulates the staff of the Motor Vehicle Division as a nationally <br /> recognized model for motor vehicle fleet operations. <br /> Signed this 1st day of May 2002. <br /> .
