These impacts vary <br /> from a simple protect in place to a complete relocation of pipes. The project is design-build and will involve <br /> entering into"Utility Relocation Agreement"for the conflicts. The vast majority of the conflicts are currently <br /> classified as Category 2 (WSDOT cost) and only one conflict is Category 1 (City cost). The Utility's <br /> department may require betterments on some of the Category 2 conflicts. The cost for these betterments will <br /> be borne by the City. <br /> The first conflict to be dealt with is the relocation of a 12-inch waterline in Pacific Avenue. This is the only <br /> Category 1 conflict identified. The scope and cost($54,060.83) for this project are attached. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Authorize Mayor to sign"Local Agency Participating Agreement—GCA 4731"with Washington State <br /> Department of Transportation (WSDOT) for the relocation of a 12-inch water pipe in Pacific Avenue for <br /> $54,060.83. <br /> 17 <br />
