t
schools and organizations.
The homes could be used as rental residences for patients and their
families being treated at the newly proposed Cancer Center (similar to
the "Hutch" in Seattle). Imagine what a comfort this type of "home"
would provide to patients and their families who are already at their
wit's -end fighting and trying to survive this terrible disease. To have
a real "home" to go to at the end of the day, one with charm, warmth,
and character, would most likely make the Everett Cancer Center a
popular and sought -out treatment facility.
I am writing to you because the hospital is hosting a meeting on Monday,
October 18th to discuss their plans and answer the local residents'
questions. As a community representative, it would be great if you could
also attend the meeting, to share your thoughts and ideas. It would mean a
lot to me and my fellow neighbors to have a local official present.
Whatever "side" you are on, I am confident that any input you have would
help the two parties come to an agreeable outcome.
The meeting is at 7:OOpm on Monday, October 18th on the Colby Campus of
Providence Everett Medical Center in the Cascade Room of the medical office
building. The address is 1300 Rockefeller.
Respectfully,
Kristine Stothers
1305 Oakes Avenue
Everett, WA 98201
(425) 339-0979
2
14
